NEWICK IN SUSSEX
IN THE HEART OF THE SUSSEX WEALD, BETWEEN THE NORTH AND SOUTH DOWNS
IN AN AREA OF ROLLING HILLS AND STUNNING SUSSEX COUNTRYSIDE
Newick traces its history back to the days before the Domesday Book, and its proud heritage is reflected in the village’s traditional architecture and many historic features. At the heart of the village, there is a Village Green with a pump built to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. Certainly, there was a church in Newick in the 11th century; today there are three churches and three pubs, all historic buildings with their own story to tell.
